Taylah Chapman fell in love with photography as child and went on to study Photography, Graphic Design and Marketing at the University of Wollongong. Taylah became a full-time freelance photographer whilst studying and since graduating has continued to develop a unique style that focuses on candid moments and heavily utilises natural light.
Taylah combined her love of music with photography early in her career and has gone on to work with independent artists across Sydney and the Illawarra with live music photography, press shots and album artwork. She has also shot well-known artists such as Ruel, Gang of Youths, Middle Kids and Spacey Jane, as well as working on behalf of online music publications.
Taylah has an understated presence and easy-going demeanour that allows her to capture the quiet moments that others miss. Her relaxed approach also enables her to draw out the best of even the most self-conscious subject.
Taylah doesn’t just work in music, she also has extensive experience in wedding and event photography, professional and family portraiture and even dabbles in landscape photography. Taylah also has brought her live music skills to bear on sports photography and loves shooting fast-paced sports events.
Taylah is still an up and coming photographer but has already made her present felt. She works independently and is available to be hired for a range of different types of photography.
